A Stranger’s Chest is the second single from Lucy Kruger & The Lost Boys‘ upcoming album Transit Tapes (for women who move furniture around). It is a reckoning with a need for a kind of validation that in the end leads to containment and quietening. In the song, Lucy landed in the deep end of the ocean and instead of reaching for an anchor, that is familiar but not as safe as it once seemed, she wants to learn to swim. Or better yet, become the sea.
The video grew out of a conversation/contemplation/collaboration between Lucy and Alina.
